- Objective: Chandrayan-3 was the third Moon mission in India whose objective was to successfully land on the lunar surface.
- It was launched on 14th of july in 2023 from SATISH DHAVAN SPACE CENTER in Sriharikota, Andhra pradesh.
- Landing point on the lunar surface is called SHIVA SHAKTI which remarks where the lander Vikram landed successfully on the moon.
- Components:
Lander: The lander of mission chandrayan-3 is called Vikram which landed on the moon’s surface.
Rover: It is called PRAGYAN which objective is to move on the lunar surface and collect the data.
Orbiter: there is an orbit around the Chandrayaan-3 which revolves around the moon and sends the data.
- It was launched by the GSLV Mk III rocket.
Note: The Chandrayaan-3 landed on the lunar surface on 23rd of August 2023 so we celebrated “National Space Day” on this day for the first time in 2023.
