Ratan Tata: The Man of Integrity, Compassion and India's Icon.

A man with integrity and compassion Ratan Tata, chairman and owner of Tata Sons & Group, has recently passed away at the age of 86 years old on the 9th of October 2024. he had been ill for several days and now it happened.

Ratan Tata was born on 28 December 1937 in Mumbai, India. His father name was Naval Tata, He was adopted by Ratanji Tata, whose father was Mr. Jamshed Tata, who was the founder of Ratan Tata Sons & Group.

The Marvelous Story of Ratan Tata:

The story starts in 1988, when Tata released the first of his cars, the Tata Indica, in the market, but people did not take interest in it for one year, so its sales were not up to the mark. Ultimately, Indica was flopped. then

Some people advised him to sell card vision, but he did not. He tried to contact many car’ companies; after his great effort, he succeeded in making contact with a famous American car company, Ford. After initial discussion and effort, Mr. Ratan was called to Ford’s headquarters in Detroit, America.

In three-hour meeting, they disrespected him, The chairman of Ford, Bill Ford, told him when you did not do anything about passenger cars, then why did you start the car business. After that incident, Ratan Tata

decided to come back to New York from Detroit. Around two hours in flight, he felt disrespected and despaired.

As we know very well, time and situation do not remain the same. From that incident, time and situation changed for Tata. Nine years later, in 2008, Ford Company reached its edge of bankruptcy. Then Ratan Tata decided to buy the Jaguar Landover, a luxury car from Ford. The Ford’s chairman came to Bombay, and a deal was signed with rupees of 9300 CR. Bill Ford thanked Tata by saying that you are doing a great favor to me by purchasing a Jaguar.

After some years, started making profits from the Jaguar Land Rover.

Sir Ratan Tata Trust: It was founded in 1918 with the sum of 8M. It was established in accordance with the will of Sir Ratanji Tata under the ownership of Tata.
Its aim is to support social development in education, rural livelihood, art, and culture.

When the tata memorial hospital was opened as a “beacon of hope for the hapless,” It was handed to the ministry of Health in 1962 during the India-China war.
