India space mission 2024, in which we will cover the space of India in 2024 and India’s space history, revolution and achievement.
The journey of Indian space has been very grateful, exemplary and challenging as well. In last hundred years India achieved great feat in space field. Indian space agency, Indian Space Research Center, has proven its self as leader in global space race by providing many achievements and breakthrough in varies fields that put the India at front of the world. ISRO was founded by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai in 1969 and first satellite, Aryabhata, was launched in 1975. ISOR’s headquarter is located in Bangalore.
India major space missions: 2024
There are many missions have been successful of ISRO. These missions have explored in different-2 areas in space field like Manned missions, planetary missions, solar exploration and earth observation. ISRO will enhance its capabilities and technology through these mission and will strength its position. there are the majors missions below.
1. Gaganyaan Mission: India’s first Manned Space Mission
This mission is the most important for ISRO and India as well. This was likely to launch in 2024 but was postponed to first month of 2025 but unfortunate the Chairman of ISRA, S. Somanath announced that it has been pushed to 2026 for a certain reason.
Objective: The main aim of ISRO is to send the Indian astronauts to space. ISRO will send the astronaut to the Lower Earth Orbit (LEO) through this mission. This mission will take four astronauts in GSLV Mk III into the space.
Technology: The travel of Gaganyaan space mission will have life support system and will test the life safety of astronauts. ISRO will exhibit its spaceflight technology through this mission.
Global Significant: If this mission get succeed then India will become the 4th country of the world who can send their astronauts to the space. the other countries who have sent their astronauts to space successfully are United State of America, China and Russia.
Impact: India well get strong position in global space exploration through this mission. India open new doors in space tourism and Human exploration.
2. Aditya-L1: India’s solar mission
Aditya-L1 was launched on 23 September 2023 but it expected to be set in its halo orbit in 2024. It will be first mission of ISRO which will study the atmosphere of sun and will try understand the activities of sun.
Mission objective: the main objective of Aditya-L1 is to study of outer layer of sun which is famous as CORONA layer. It will study the space weather and solar flares and will help us to understand its effect on the earth.
Scientific Goals: It will help us to understanding and study the effect of solar winds, solar flares, and coronal mass ejection on space weather and communication systems.
Orbit: Aditya-L1 was sent to the L1 Lagrangian Point which is stable point between earth and sun. It will collect the data from stable point.
3. Proba-3: Solar Satellite
After getting success over Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission Proba-3 was launched with the collaboration of ISRO and European Space Agency(ESA) on 05 December in 2024. It is advanced mission which has been designed for solar research and testing of technology. this mission consists two space aircrafts Proba-3 Satellite and Proba-3 Auxiliary Satellite. both aircrafts will have synchronization and will at the same distance.
Objectives: the main goal of this mission is to observe solar corona and testing of formation flying testing. As corona is a outer part of sun and its temperature is very high (1M to 2M degree Celsius). If scientists study this layer it will be helpful for them to study the solar storms and its effect on the earth.
this mission help us to study the solar winds which are the charge particles of sun that affects our communication system.
the other ISRO’s missions of 2024 are SSLV-D3/EOS-08 mission PSLV-C58/XPoSat Mission PSLV C56/DS-SAR mission etc.
Challenges:
If you talk about the challenges of 2024 ISRO space missions, we should really appreciate their efforts and hard dedication. Each missions brings different challenges either we talk about Chandrayaan-3, Gaganyaan or Aditya-L1 but most important thing is to we find the way to get over on this and in this process we learn lot of things because of these challenges. these issue can be technological, financial or environmental. if we talk about global level issue this could be competition, international partnership and space diplomacy.
Conclusion:
the year of 2024 have been turning point for ISRO because it has launched very important and ambitious missions like Chandrayaa-3, Gaganyaan, Aditya-L1 and Proba-3 missions are very significant which will enhance the capabilities and help in exploring space of India space agency. so as the time passes the influence of ISRO will increase in the world. The future missions of ISRO will be related to the sustainable space exploration, human spaceflight and space science research. this time is golden era for ISRO.
