1. Bug off
Meaning: Go away.
Example: I told her to bug off because she was staring at me continuously.
2. Bug out.
Meaning: Open your eyes widely in surprise/leave for somewhere in a hurry.
Example: He bugged out when she turned up/ They bugged out when the police arrived.
3. Raining cats and dogs
Meaning: you can say “it’s raining cats and dogs” if it’s raining very hard.
Example: I could not go my office in yesterday because it was raining cats and dogs.
4. Keep up with.
Meaning: Stay up to date.
Example: It’s hard to keep up with all the latest improvements and breakthroughs in technology nowadays.
5. key down.
Meaning: relax, unwind.
Example: I need to key down before I go enter into the exam hall.
6. Key in.
Meaning: Enter numbers or information into a computer electronic system.
Example: It took all day to key in all the information into the database.
7. Keep off the mark.
Meaning: If you are quick of the mark, you are quick to react to an event or an opportunity.
